Abstract

This article analyzes the formation, development and distinctive features of Uzbek dramaturgy of the 20th century. The article highlights Mahmudkhoja Behbudi's contribution to the development of national dramaturgy in the early 20th century through his drama “Padarkush”, the theoretical and practical activities of Jadid intellectuals in elevating theatrical art to a new level, and the ideological-aesthetic foundations of national theater.
