Abstract

The study carried out an analysis of mass media publications devoted to the problems of gender equality and domestic violence against women, as well as regulatory documents at the international and national levels in this area. The reasons for this phenomenon, including dependence on parents and the environment in matters of marriage are analyzed based on specific examples of domestic violence against women. The discrepancy has been identified between the availability of international norms and documents regulating women's rights and their protection from violence, as well as national-level legislative norms in this area, and the use of these norms in practice in different countries, including the Central Asian region and Uzbekistan. The work uses analytical and empirical methods of scientific research, including the survey method.
