Abstract

Television has come a long way since its inception as a mass medium and today, it stands on the threshold of a new era. Modern television is changing due to technological progress, changing consumer demand and globalization. This article analyzes the main changes, trends, challenges and prospects facing television today. Over the past 10 years, there has been a noticeable downward trend in the audience of local television channels in various countries, especially in our country. This article explores the reasons why viewers are moving from traditional television to alternative sources of information and entertainment, and offers suggestions and recommendations to address the identified issues.
