Abstract

This article examines the current issue of media literacy and information culture as integral elements of modern education and civic engagement. In the context of information overload and the spread of fake news, critical perception of information is becoming a crucial skill for every individual. The author analyzes the theoretical foundations of media literacy, its role in developing citizens' ability to perceive information independently and consciously, and also offers practical recommendations for fostering critical thinking in educational institutions.
