Abstract

This article analyzes the processes of globalization and integration in modern foreign journalism, as well as the attitudes of national media outlets, particularly those in Uzbekistan, towards these processes. It highlights the differences between European continental journalism and the media of the USA and Great Britain in historical, political, and cultural contexts. The ideas of a “free and responsible press,” developed by the Hutchins Commission, are presented as an important direction in journalistic activity. Additionally, the article discusses conceptual approaches to the social responsibility of journalism, freedom of information, and the preservation of national identity.
