Abstract

This article analyzes the role and capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in detecting fake news. In the context of information warfare and infodemic, false and manipulative content poses a threat to public safety, healthcare, and political stability. The study examines methods for detecting fake news based on fact-checking tools (ClaimBuster, FullFact, Snopes) and advanced natural language processing models (GPT-4, BERT, RoBERTa). The article also explores the advantages, limitations, ethical issues, and international experiences of AI systems in detecting false information in text, images, and videos. The results demonstrate the potential of artificial intelligence technologies to reduce the flow of fake news and increase the reliability of the information environment.
