Abstract

This thesis examines the increasing influence of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) on journalism, with a focus on how GAI tools are transforming newsroom practices, redefining journalistic roles, and raising ethical concerns. It examines the use of GAI in news production — from content creation to distribution — and considers the broader cultural and political implications. Drawing on recent developments, the study proposes an ethical framework to guide media professionals in the era of automated journalism.
