Maqolada xalqaro yangiliklar kun tartibini shakllantirish va xorijiy axborotni televideniye efiriga tayyorlashning o‘ziga xos xususiyatlari nazariy-tahliliy jihatdan ko‘rib chiqiladi.Tadqiqotning dolzarbligi xalqaro axborot oqimining hajmi ortib borayotgani, yangiliklarning tarqalish tezlashuvi hamda zamonaviy televizion tahririyatlar foydalanayotgan manbalar sonining ko‘payishi bilan belgilanadi. Bunday sharoitda xalqaro yangiliklar kun tartibi dunyoning turli hududlarida sodir bo‘layotgan voqealarning oddiy aks-sadosi emas, balki voqeaning ahamiyatini baholash, manbalarni tanlash, axborotni tekshirish, materialni taqdim etish usulini belgilash, vizual materiallarni tanlash va yangilikni axborot dasturi tarkibida joylashtirishni o‘z ichiga olgan ko‘p bosqichli tahririy jarayon sifatida namoyon bo‘ladi. Maqolada «yangiliklar kun tartibi», «xalqaro kun tartibi», «gatekeeping», «yangilik qadriyatlari» va «xorijiy axborot manbalari» tushunchalariga oid nazariy yondashuvlar tizimlashtiriladi. Televizion formatning o‘ziga xos xususiyatlariga alohida e’tibor qaratiladi. Ilgari e’lon qilingan Rossiya tadqiqotlarining ikkilamchi tahlili asosida xalqaro kun tartibining geografiyasi, xorijiy axborot manbalari va xalqaro voqealarni tanlash mezonlariga oid miqdoriy ma’lumotlar qiyoslanadi. Tadqiqot xalqaro televizion yangiliklar kun tartibini shakllantirish murakkab jarayon bo‘lib, unda axborotni professional tanlash va tekshirish yakuniy media mahsulotining sifatini belgilaydi, degan xulosaga keladi.
